PADDINGTON

We have had so much fun during our Spring 2 topic Paddington. We kicked off the topic with a teddy bears picnic complete with Paddington and marmalade sandwiches! We painted portraits of Paddington. Then we explored the sights of London on our London bus.

Next we had a trip to Paddington's home country Peru. We explored landmarks in Peru including Machu Picchu and the Rainbow Mountain. We also created sand artwork based on the Nazca lines. We also listened to music from Peru and we played games that children in Peru play.

To finish our topic off we had a dress up as a country day. We came to school dressed in our country's colours or as an animal from that country. We shared facts about our country, made flags and learnt how to say hello in the language of our country.

St Peter's Naughty Bus

Children had a great time creating, filming and narrating their own version of the Naughty Bus.  They shared their work with a film premier for their parents.

TRADITIONAL TALES

We have had such a busy term learning about Traditional Tales. We started the topic off with a runaway Gingerbread Man. We collected clues from the crime scene and we made wanted posters. Then we started to recieve photos and postcards from the Gingergerbread Man. His adventures included a trip to asda and the library and searching for the loch ness monster in Scotland!

We retold stories using puppets and acting. We created our own versions of tradional tales. We explored size and capacity with Goldilocks and we created bridges with the three billy goats! We finished our topic off with a Traditional Tales dress up day!
