Mathematics in Nursery
Children in Nursery enjoyed investigating shapes in the environment and talking about the different features of shapes.
Mathematics in Reception
Children in Reception have taken part in a gingerbread man hunt around the outdoor area. They were learning how to recognise numbers up to 10 shown in different ways.
Mathematics in Year 1
Children in Year 1 have used different representations of numbers, including objects and pictorial representations to compare the numbers using the language less than, more than and greater than.
Mathematics in Year 2
Children in Year 2 have been using practical resources to support their learning in Maths, comparing numbers using the <, > and = signs, using dienes and tens counters to recognise the place value of each digit in 2 digit numbers and to solve addition, multiplication and division problems.
