Visit the National Literacy Trust's Words for Life online resources for fun literacy linked learning activities for primary school children. The website provides families with activities and support to improve their language, literacy and communication skills from home. Their virtual school library has links to authors reading and talking about their books and follow up activites.
Please see below for learning activities during 2021/22. We will update as children develop their learning this year.
World Book Day
Children enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. Children across the school enjoyed their paired reading, some children borrowed books from our new school library and other children showed their creativity by decorating potatoes as book characters.
Children in Key Stage 2 really enjoyed a poetry workshop with Paul Cookson, including writing and performing their own collaborative poem.
