Phonics

Children enjoy their Storytime phonics sessions.  The Phonics Fairy visits the day before to share a story which includes the new sound they are going to learn.  The next day children learn the new sound and practice writing it in their phonic books.

Celebrations

As part of their topic on Celebrations children in Reception have been developing their expressive art and design skills, experimenting with different art materials and exploring new techniques to create their own Firework pictures.  Some of the children were inspired by the art work of Andy Goldsworthy.

Children in Reception have been exploring the outdoor environment.  They found lots of autumnal items to tick off their checklists.
